Dear Readers, Bloggers, Twihards, and fanfic friends,
As is painfully obvious, The Twinklings Community has been dead for over a year now. As its leader, I can’t help but feel responsible. I’m sorry that we didn’t bow out sooner, and that we let so many of you down. But the fact of the matter is that real life got horribly in the way, and we forgot our duties. Misty was our bravest soldier: the last to leave. I thank her so much for her efforts to try to keep TTC alive when the rest of us had already left without explanations.
So I guess the point of this post is to say goodbye. The blog will officially be closed in a few days. Of course, we will leave it up because it still has very good stories, links, advice, etc. Although we will no longer post, I encourage those of you who sought our critiques and those of you whom we shamelessly pimped to keep trying! Never give up on your stories. :)
My final post will be sometime in the next few weeks. In it, I will finally announce our Walk of Fame winners (sans winning banners, I’m afraid), as well as announce the mass emailing to those of you who donated for Fandom Fealty. The long-promised story compilation is nearly complete.
Thanks to those of you who kept me in your thoughts as I was going through a difficult time, and especially to those who sent me such encouraging emails and messages. And to those of you who felt abandoned when we didn’t respond to queries about the contest, compilation, awards, posts, etc...please accept my heartfelt apology.
